Quick question " Vfs Tracking system shows that passport is been dispatched on 2016/09/15 from CHC-New delhi to VFS processing centre." Is it ready to be available for pick up today 2016/09/16 at mumbai VFS ? is it necessary to call VFS helpline to find about status ? Plz advise

Yes, confirm with VFS before you go for pickup. When did you apply?

Guys want to share my experience of TRV for my wife. I am a PR living in India and applied for my wifes TRV as we are now planning to go there for good and gt an OWP for my wife.

I was surprised I got the visa in flat 12 days. Applied on 21 Aug and had a passport request on 1 Sep.

So I would recommend all of you willing for a TRV for spouses to go for it. The only thing I would say is that, I think my wife was working in a MNC and is a CA on a good package.

@Shmak2017 did your application go to Bangalore and then stamped from ND or did it directly go to ND?

In my case the application directly went to Bangalore. I had no choice to choose which office I'd like to file the application. I'm guessing ND office is quicker than Bangalore. I'm not sure what's wrong with Bangalore and why have they slowed down so much. I just hope it comes atleast a week before the travel date.

Hi im new to this forum and I applied for Visitor visa on Jul-25th at VFS -Hyd ,Status of application is still "in process" at Bangalore..i dont know why they are taking it so long...

Did you receive any update regarding passport status. Have you linked your paper application online? That will show you status if visa granted or not.

Hello Everyone,

I have made a paper application from VFS Pune for my mother's visit visa on 8th August. Her travel tickets are already booked for 29th September but haven't received any updates from Bangalore office yet. It still says under process. Has anyone filled around that time and received updates? I am now worried as its too short a notice. Is there anyway that the process can be expedited?

People who have applied on july 25th are still waiting, so I guess you can't expect anything sooner. Bangalore office is working too slow. I applied on july 28th from vfs ahmedabad and still waiting. I suggest you change the dates of the ticket to 15+ days, to be on the safe side.

Yes, We called them 3-4 times, but all they tell you is the status from the vfs tracking website, which we can also see. No more help provided.

VFS does not have any say in the Visa. They can only track the status of the passport from the barcode. So asking them is pointless. Although they just say that you can submit an application to expedite the process but that's not guaranteed.

I applied for TRV on 1st September my parents both had Canadian n us so filed got scanned for Can+ online recieved refusal msg on 13th September but refusal letter has no reason given for refusal

Sorry to hear that your parents were refused. Did you get a decision for your wife's application?

If you recall, I had advised you to immediately withdraw their CAN+ applications as you had not submitted several documents.... which is why they were refused:

Got TRV approved today with 2years multiple entry
Applied on : 04 August 2016 paper application from Hyderabad vfs
Received message : on 15 Sep 2016 passport dispatched
Received passport : on 16 Sep 2016

It took exact 6 weeks for processing
