My wife applied through VFS Bangalore on 17th Feb.
It is still under processing at Bangalore Embassy. I called the VFS helpline. They said minimum processing time is 18 working days. I am frustrated.

Please guide.

Hello. I need some some help regarding TRV that we get after Post Graduate Work Permit. I am currently outside Canada and have post graduate work permit.
Please guide me about following queries.

1) I am currenly in Pakistan and want to apply for TRV and the paper application form asks for proof of financial support. Can I attach bank statements of parents as proof?

2) I will soon be travelling to UAE so If I apply from there, can I use the same proof of financial support like the bank statements of parents whose bank accounts are in Pakistan?

Admin and other members, Please help! I am in a fix.. Or guide me to any appropiate link/ person that can help! Thank you.

Suggest you all apply on paper ... online process always delayed and its have 2 stages...first online process and second stage when you need to submitted your passport after getting approval request....

online overall : initial 1 month for whole process (till visa stamping)
paper : initial 10 days..(till visa stamping)

so always go by paper form...

Applied for TRV visitor Visa for Wife. Applied on March 15 Online. Didnt Recieve any Communication/ Passport Request Yet. Please Comment on Online Application Processing time from india.

My wife is a September 2015 spousal sponsorship applicant.

AOR2 was in December 2015.

We applied for a TRV in late February 2016 ( paper application at New Delhi).

8 business days after submission, my wife received an IMM1017 medical request form by e mail ( our upfront medicals done for spousal sponsorship was valid till August 2016 , not sure why they asked for another medical . I guess we can avoid a remedical for the spousal now)

Medical was done the next days .

On the 15th business day, the passport was returned to VFS with a one year multiple entry visa.

My wife is currently not working. She did work for 2-3 years in the UAE prior to our wedding, she had traveled 15-20 times between the UAE and Cochin , India during the time of her employment.

She was also able to show significant assets , both property and long term bank deposits in India.

She also has submitted Indian income tax returns for the last 5 years, showing 50K $CAD equivalent income annually from their family business.

Hi Guys,
I have a question. I received my PR and I will be landing in a month or so. My parents already have their visitor's visa valid till june'16. So I wanted to know, what are the options for them to re-visit Canada? To extend the current visa or apply for a new application? If extension is the option, can we apply for the same now itself..as there is still 3months validity to their visitors visa before it expires.

Question to those who applied onilne

I applied TRV for my father online (March 26/family visit/I am a PR) ... how many emails that you receive after submitting online . I received 2 immediately suggesting I have a message, and infact I did have in MyCIC. A day after, March 27, I received one more suggesting that the application has been update though I do not see anything updated. I learn from the forum that this is pitty normal (2 messages and 1 update email with no such update). However, I received 2 more on March 30 and March 31, suggesting update but there is no update in MyCIC account.

Anyone has similar experience or knows whats really going on?

I all we have received passport request. Will be submitting passport on Thursday (tomorrow is public holiday in Nepal).
