hi , can anyone clear my enquires
My wife is a Canadian citizen and we are currently living in Australia on Post grad work permit and we are now planning to go for Christmas vacation in canada , as my wife is already living outside of canada can she still write a letter of invitation for me and is there any chance of visitor visa ,
My last vistor visa got expired in june 2019 ,

if your host doesn’t live in Canada they should not be providing an invitation letter.

I have done exactly this in the past when residing outside Canada (and more than once). I can't say it will work in all cases, and it's possible that something has changed, but it worked fine in my case.

Would be much better to include invitation letter from family or friends in Canada if that is an option.

Okay; maybe it is better. But note that is a distinct point from your comment that a Canadian residing abroad "should not" be inviting.

Seems to me it is an entirely normal thing for a Canadian residing abroad to invite their spouse/family to visit Canada.
