Just sent in my extention request, anyone recently sent theirs or have been waiting on a respond.?

I sent mine on Dec 30, 2015. I did it online. I am playing the waiting game for my PR and my extension. I asked for a year so hopefully it will be my last one.
 
All the best Tracy, anyone have any idea which month application CIC is at?

Same. I sent my 3rd extension at the end of Nov. I have been in the spousal sponsorship since April 2014. Hopefully, I will get it by summer.
 
These applications can be submitted online or by paper.

Just checked Cic re visitors extention, and how far they are.

Online

148 days ?

Working on applications received on September 16, 2015.

Paper

111 days ?

Working on applications received on October 23, 2015.
 
Just got in-laws online application approved
App submitted online in Sept 2015. Takes good 6mth.

They have super visa but only received 6months when the arrived in Canada. Now visa extended to 2017.

Hi tweetbr24,
I think I read that they were in October for extensions.
I did not get a work permit with my PR application because I submitted it as an OUTLAND.

Thats the only draw back with outland sponsorship, is that you do not get a work permit.
However the wait time is less compared to inland which I believe to be 24mths and your given a work permit.

Yeah, I wanted the option to leave Canada if I had to and for a US citizen the wait time for outland is less than a year for most cases. I have been in Canada for 22 months now. I am thinking that I will probably be approved with PR before my extension is approved. Lol
 
TracyCa64 how long after submitting extension request Cic respond to say your application was received which gives you implied status until a decision is made?
 
Yes that would be great, did you leave at any point within the 22mth?
 
Is it easy to apply for an extension? What documents are needed? Do I have to type a letter of explanation for my stay?

I received something the next day to confirm that they received my application. Then a few days later I received an update to say they are processing it.
I haven't received anything else since then.

Nothing they sent said that I have implied status.

Yes, I did leave for 7 weeks back to California, but we were already Common Law. Our Common Law was from 04-27-14 to 04-28-15, I left for California on May 31, 2015.
Do you think that could be why they needed me to send in the Form IMM 5409 for my PR application?
