A transit visa doesn’t let you enter Canada. You need a TRV to enter Canada.

But i can land in canada port of entry and apply for work permit,

I have a canadian visitor visa for transit in Canada,i use it when i transit in Canada to continue trip to USA,can i use this canadian visitor transit visa to apply for work permit at the port of entry in Canada as i obtained a job offer to work in Canada?
