Visitor Visa

Hello,

I have applied/sent my Visitor VISA document for me and my spouce on 29th April through USPS. It has reached the Consulate office and its been a month now. I would like to know how we can know the status of our application.

Can someone suggest/help me on this please.

Hi, First you should make sure they received it. Did USPS give you a tracking number? If they did receive it why dont you call them with your application number? Or send them an email with the title URGENT. Explain why you need the answer soon and justify your reason with proof . Goodluck.

My Husband is on WP in canada and have applied my visitor visa from his company. Its more than 2.5 months and still if i track my application no it says "Passport received In Processing". I have mailed @delhi-immigration@international.gc.ca but no reply. Just an auto reply.
I am in India and company has applied through VFS. I have applied for Visitor visa with OWP.
Can anyone help how can i get any status or any idea on how much more time will be taken. Or any way to connect to consulate directly in India. Please Help ... Its hard to stay away from my husband

Hi Nidhidjoy16, yes it is a long wait 2.5 months. However they did tell u that it was in process. They do have a phone number , why dont u call them with your application number? Tell them how long you've been waiting and wondering if its normal . Goodluck.

As per i know Canadian embassy don't entertain any phone calls. But if u know any of it please share with us. VFS do have pon number but they have information only what is on their site.

Thank you for your reply, I do have the tracking number. I have confirmation that my documents has been received.
But what i wanted to know the status for which i tried calling them first that reached autometd service. Do we have any specific mail addres sor phone that i can try.

Please help.

Hi Karthi,
Call 1-888-242-2100 toll free for Immigration Canada office but in Canada. If they cant help you ask them to give u the phone number for the States. Goodluck.

As suggested i called immigration ofc but the customer care people asked me to write email to immigration which i have done earlier and even i did again. Its like two weeks and no reply from them.
Is this issue being faced by other applicant also or i am only the lucky one ???

May i suggest that u present yourself in person at the Delhi office with the application number and a copy of the request with copy of documents? I dont know why after 2 1/2 months u still have no answer. U have to get to the bottom of this. And also they are not answering your emails. I know Delhi is extremely slow to answer emails. I myself have sent them an email almost 2 months ago and still i have no reply. I give up with them . But i found the phone number at the Delhi office . Did you try 91 (11) 4178-2000? Opened Monday-Friday 08:30- 16:45. Insist that u want some news an update on the status.

Karthi, we r in a similar situation. Have you gotten your passport ?
Ours was received on MAy 17th. What is even more worse is that my parents are here on B1 B2, they have also applied and they have to go back to India on July 28th.

A Nepalese friend applied thru VFS in Kathmandu , received on May 31 and passport was returned on June 17. As per IC website for India, the waiting time for a TRV sent thru VFS takes 2 weeks and it took exactly two weeks. Very happy with the waiting time, it was respected. ;D

Good that ur Napali frz received on time. In my case it is getting delayed like hell. I went to high commission for inquiry . The security guard told me that immigration is over-flooded with cases so plz just wait. Now i have tried all possibilities to get any status for my case but all in vein.
