Hi all,

I tried looking for this topic on the forum, but I couldn't find it. I am currently on a visitor status in Canada while I am waiting for my outland application to get processed. Has anyone applied for a single or multiple entry visitor visa while in this situation? If so, what was your experience? I don't know if they would grant me a visitor visa or if it would raise any red flags? I have several visitor visas stamped on my passport if that helps?

If anyone has been through this, I would really appreciate the feedback. Thanks!

if you are from visa exempt country, you can simply apply for extension of visitor visa.
you should send application a month prior to your visitor visa expired (whether it is a stamp on your passport or paper visa).

you can send a proof that you applied for outland (a email /letter from CIC, receipt of sponsorship pay etc) with your extension application.
then you could get a year or more (I got a year without any problem)

FYI: What I sent with my extension app.

forms, email from CIC (file transferred to VO etc) , balance of my bank account and my husband pay stub (if your spouse is working and supporting you) and a letter (saying I wanna wait for my PR in canada with my family etc)

Hi floomy,

I'm not from a visa exempt country so I am inquiring about a new visitor visa not an extension. I have already filed for and received to extensions up to date but from what I understand, that only extends your status, not your visa. Please correct me if I am wrong.
