Hi Oxford,

I think the main reason they refused you was the original reason you applied your visa to Canada and the one you extended your stay are not the same so it will probably hard for you to fix this problem now. The little chance is just the letter from your employer to persuaded them to change their mind. Good luck to you

i send my file to seattle with a solid supporting letter from my employer (she is going through in very painful divorce) so i attached all divorce processing documents ..may be it will work..
and also once i ll get acknowledgement of my file from seattle then i ll apply for restoration with all WP documents and as a proof of sending file with acknowledgement....Let us see what happened ?? i m just praying to god ..................
Is there any more alternative u can suggest me ????

for buffalo it will take 1 month and for seattle it will take 2 months....
but for WP % is Seattle are very good..

Are you out of status? You can send your application for restoration now. Attach a copy of the receipt you paid for your WP/visa application.

Thank you for your concern....
You are very right that i can send application for restoration now... but i do not want to take any type of risk in this time...
Registered post and draft is not a proof of my sending file because anyone can send even blank papers in the envelope so CIC would never convinced with that proofs..(Specially if the applications are from Indian's........Isn't it ?? )

For restoration i have to give solid proof /reason (Acknowledgement via email from Seattle office).... SO
I ll attach Receipt of registered post , copy of draft and acknowledgement from Seattle office
so they could not refused my restoration application (hope so)..
I think i can apply for restoration within 90 days....
i ll get email from Seattle office within 10 days..till than ??? SCARED

And also i m trying to get a supporting letter from MP of my area where i lives....
i m putting my 110% efforts regarding this case so lets see what happened......!!

Hey, I am also in very difficult situation now. Today, i have been trying to contact CIC office in Vegreville with the hope that I can check my extended visa status since then but there was only automatic answers even though I had pressed to the right department which I need to speak to but it was hopeless. And then I found out on the CIC website that if I apply papers by mailing way then it would take appx. 165 working days (almost 5 months working) counting from the day I sent the application. What would I do now as my visa would have already been expired if I received their reply from CIC office. Furthermore, at this time my hubby is preparing to send all my application for sponsorship but my inland status now is still pending. Should I still go ahead to apply another extension for my stay just to make sure that I would not have to return to the original of country? Is there anyone could help me out this wonder?

Dear if u married with a Canadian citizen ..u dnt need to get an extension for your stay..it ll be automatically converted into TRV.. so relaxed....everything will be good at your part,,,

But you are out of status in Canada, there is a high probability of your WP/visa getting turned down. Seattle never answered emails. If they did it would probably take a month for them to get back to you. By then your WP/visa application would have been opened and having no status in Canada, might be a negative factor for you. But it is also a lot of money (at least I think it is, $200.00 for the restoration application).

they only asked for 200$ for restoration ?

That is a "gray" area to me. When I applied for Restoration of status as a visitor, I only sent in $200.00, and received a VR. Best call CIC in case $75.00 is required. You can still send the receipt (of course after paying) should you need to pay more.
