Visitor visa vs super visa

My parents' visitor visa got rejected due to long duration of stay and insufficient funds in their account.

Now we are planning to apply again by increasing liquid funds and reducing duration so will be addressing both reasons of rejection.

However, I have two questions:

1. Would supervisa be better? We qualify for it, have sufficient funds in Canada, and me and wife both have stable IT jobs, but dad has a moderate heart condition + high BP, so dicy about what the report sent to IRCC will contain.
2. If we apply for visitor visa and it is rejected again, would that badly affect if we then apply supervisa for just mom (she is healthy with no conditions). We have a good reason for dad staying back (he works), but worried about how two refusals would make us look.

So they themselves have increased their funds through employment, investments etc.

1. No one can tell you if he will pass the medical. If moderate and under control without requiring surgery, he may pass it.
2. No it will not impact applying for a supervisa just for mom. Reasons for past refusals would have to be addressed.

VISIT
Currently, most visitors to Canada may visit for up to six months when they first enter Canada. Visitors who wish to stay longer must apply for an extension, and pay a new fee. With the parent and grandparent super visa, eligible parents and grandparents can visit family in Canada for up to two years without the need to renew their status.

The Super Visa is a multi-entry visa that provides multiple entries for a period up to 10 years. The key difference is that the Super Visa allows an individual to stay for up to two years on each entry into Canada, while a 10-year multiple entry visa would only have a status period for each entry of six months only.

There are also specific requirements that you must meet to be able to get a super visa. To be eligible for the super visa, applicants must be the parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Dependants of parents and grandparents are not eligible for the super visa. However, they can apply for a regular visitor visa. The Super Visa applicants must also be found admissible to Canada and meet some other conditions.

Hello,

I applied for my father/mother in laws for visit visa six months on Nov 10, 2022.
Received an email regarding some additional documents on Jan 24, 2023.
Received an email on Jan 25, 2023 that IRCC received the requested documents.

Any idea how long it will take now to get a decision?
