Hi,
I have a situation. I am getting married soon to a Canadian citizen & we have decided to have the wedding in Canada. Most of my family lives in the US ( mother, father + 3 brothers)-some r US citizen some green card holders. I have another younger brother (21 years) who lives in Macedonia- his application to immigrate to the US was approved, but he is still awaiting VISA procedures. We want him to come to my wedding in Canada. My Canadian Fiance will send him an invitation letter. I have several question in this regard:
Should he disclose that most of his family lives in the US? What are the pros and cons?
Should he disclose that he is in a process of immigrating to the US? What are the pros and cons?
We ( my family in the US) will pay for all of his expenses? Is it ok to provide a bank statement from one of my family members?
Anything else he should put in the application?

Based on the info above, what are the chances they will issue him a visa?

Thanks for your hep.

1. Yes he should disclose the residence of his family if asked. Lying has a tendency to get you refused for misrepresentation.
2. Yes, if asked since there is a very good chance that CHC share the information with the US.
3. If you are paying his expenses, then you need proof that he has the funds or someone will be paying his costs.
4. He may have problems getting a TRV, as he is emigrating and if he has no family or no job in Macedonia he may have difficulty showing his ties that he will return.

OK

The process of Visa application is done via mail, so there are no questions. Decision is made based on the documents you provide. Application doe not ask whether you are in the process of immigrating to another country. Not sure how I would reveal he is in the process of immigrating to another country?

3. If you are paying his expenses, then you need proof that he has the funds or someone will be paying his costs.

Will there be a problem to show the support from a person who does not live in Canada? Will they say anything If I show my bank statement as support-I live in the US?

4. He may have problems getting a TRV, as he is emigrating and if he has no family or no job in Macedonia he may have difficulty showing his ties that he will return.

Will the fact that most of his family live in the US offer some sort of assurance that he has no intention of staying in Canada?
