Hi,

I have applied my canada visa application (transit) this month 5th June, keeping some travel plan of 9th July. Now I am changing my travel plan to some other time in august due to on-going strike. so
1. what is the validity of my existing visitor visa If I am getting in next couple of weeks ?
2. is there any impact on my visa validity as I have originally given july 9th to 15th july as my details to canada visit.

Visa validity varies from person to person and also upon validation of your documents. I heard that usually they give for min 1yr. As per comments in these blogs, I hope the whole process takes min. 40 days or even more to complete.

Even I applied on 31 May thinking of visiting Canada in July. Still I am waiting for PP req. Now I am not sure how long will it take.

They will tell you how long it is valid for, when you receive you visa. I believe they give you 6 months to get to Canada. Then when you are crossing the boarder CBSA will decide how long you're allowed to stay in the country.

I don't know where the idea of it being vaild for 1 year is coming from.

I've received two TRV's and they both are valid for 6 months (this means that you have 6 months to enter Canada), and when you enter, the official will determine how long you are allowed to stay (usually up to 6 months)

parents/grandparents of Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents to stay in Canada for up to 2 years at a time without the need to renew. When the time comes, they may renew their visa for up to 10 years, with multiple entries allowed during the entire time period. others can stay 6 months.

even if you invite your parents in visitor class they will treat as super visa category.
