Visitor visa + US Visa Stamping

Hi,

I came to use in sept 2010 on Company A with H1B status (expiry date: Oct 2011 and also I94 expiry date). I moved to other company (say CompanyB) in June 2011 then i got new I797 with new I94 valid till 2014. Now i am planning to get this stamped by visiting Canada.
Considering this scenario, can i apply for visiting visa for canada as my visa on my passport is expired.
Please point me to more available info.

what all you need is valid i797 with i94. Expired visa doesn't matter. Any way you need to send your Passport to embassy.
