Visitor visa under family sponsorship!

Hi,

Is there any way i can visit my family (wife and two kids) in Canada? they're still waiting for their legal status which already applied under refugee protection.
one of my kids was born in Canada. is there a way i would be able to visit and see him which i haven't yet?

if i apply for TRV in my home country, do you think there will be any chance to get it?

you have to make sure that you can prove that you will return to your home country, that you have enough money to support your trip, enough ties to your home county. i suggest going to the Visitors section of this forum for more information.

You can certainly try applying. Unfortunately the chances of approval are low given your family's status in Canada. But again - you can try.

Wasn't an issue for me. When I went to the border crossing I told the agent I'd like to apply for a TRV and he sent me inside. Told them that I was a PR applicant and I wanted to stay with my wife during the process.

Showed that we had sufficient funds, a place to stay, and most importantly, A PLACE TO RETURN TO IN THE US.

For me, my previous roommate just lets me stay on the lease. That's proof enough for them. Just recently applied for an extension as well and got it.

Don't read too much into csturner92's experience. Your situation is much different, and it sounds like your ties to Canada are much stronger than your ties to your home country, so there is a greater risk that you would not return to your home country at the end of your stay.

Your situation is far different than the OP.

He's got family applying for refugee status, while he wants to go visit. I think his chances of getting a visa are slim since its likely he might try to claim asylum as well, or just simply not leave since his family is here
