Visitor visa to canada

Hello sir/madam,
I am an international student, studying in USA. I want to visit Canada as a visitor for only a week or two. Is the invitation letter mandatory for getting visa (as i dont know anybody there, who could invite me)? And do i have to send my timeline to visa officers for getting visa ? Please reply asap.

Timeline? ... Do you mean itinerary?

Anyway.... no. But it would be odd to submit an application without detailing your plans and that would decrease your chances.

sir i have one more query,
i have my whole name written under "given name" and surname is left blank on my passport. but on the visa application form, they are asking for given name and family name in separate boxes,,,,,, what shd i do now ?????? plzzzz helpppp

1. You put your whole name in the surname box and leave the given name box blank or N/A

one more query, like.. i am writing the adress of hotel where i will be staying under "person u will visit" box, but i have not booked that hotel yet.....do i need to book it first?????????? or i can write its adress without booking?????
