Maybe you should inquire about your status. Submitted for my mum Aug 1 and biometrics was done Aug 5. Passport request was received last thrusday October 10 making it 71days. It was processed from the London office though.

Just to be sure am giving you accurate info what country did you apply from and was it done electronically or paper based?

It was done online application from Nigeria but am resident in Philippines because am from Nigeria, just staying in Philippines that is why I did my biometric in Philippines so want to know if my tracking number is correct, thanks

Hi Guys,

Just to give an idea about the timeline: I had applied for my parents' visitor visa New Delhi, India via VFS.

Visa application and Biometrics submitted to VFS: 07 Oct. 2019
SMS received: Passport dispatch from Visa office: 14 Oct. 2019
Got passport with Visa: 15 Oct. 2019

I hope this info. help for understanding.

Ok understood now. That’s tracking number you have is similar to the one given to my mum at vfs Nigeria after submission. To request your status requires submitting a web form to IRCC using the link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp#q2
You will provide your application number also.

if you used an agent he/she is meant to be able to inquire about your application status as it’s past the 72days processing time already. Do you have access to your online application so you can check if any info there has changed?

Background check started: 8 Oct 2019

Final decision: In process

Received a profile/update under the status this morning but there are no new messages on file. The status went back to submitted.

Does this mean a decision might come soon? Hopefully, we get a favorable decision.

I will be applying for my mother-in-law for visitor visa as we are expecting a baby in early 2020. I have questions regarding providing proof of funds. My father-in-law is no more, and they are a joint family and all the property is under the name of grandfather. In this case, what documents should be used to provide proof of funds and proof of properties?
