Visitor visa renew, decision made on April 9th ( where is my passport?)

Hi guys,
I applied to renew my temporary visitor visa on March 15th. After receiving the notification, I sent my passport to CPC Ottawa on April 2nd. The final decision was made on April 9th. I haven’t got my passport back until today.

I really don’t know what is going on with my passport. I have contacted them by webform three times. They kept saying they have everything they need, I just need to wait for further instruction. When I called them, the agent said there is nothing they can do and he suggested me send an email to cpc Ottawa directly which I did. CPC Ottawa never replied my email and now I’m very worried. Because my flight is on June 22 and I’m afraid my passport is lost. I thought maybe sending an express envelop would help because I didn’t do so when I sent the passport, but the tracking number is not activated yet.
Can anyone give me some advise? Thank you!

Not much else you can do than keep calling and mailing them.
You can try going through your local MP they have a direct line to immigration and can make inquiries on peoples behalf and sometimes get things answered.

Thanks! I will post here when I get any update. Just hope my passport is not lost.

Thanks! I first sent them an express mail with my passport only ( because I forgot to include the return envelop) Then the second time I sent them a return express envelop by express mail. I don’t know why they didn’t send my passport back by regular mail. At least i got my passport back. I don’t recommend anyone to not include a return express envelop in the mail when they send the passport to IRCC.
