HI , Need Help - My tourist visa rejected

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/section-179.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

please guide

What is your profile - age, married, job. How long was your visit? How much in funds did you show? Were you applying on your own? Why were you planning a visit.

So what did you show that you would return (job letter with approved leave)? How much in cash? So 3 weeks in Canada?

because saving is zero balance salary account - I keep all money in fixed deposit with automatic sweep in to saving account
Only FD is an issue. You want cash in your bank accounts over a period of time. May want to show that they are movable with no conditions but even then IRCC wants to see cash in hand (bank accounts). You now have to declare your refusal on future applications.

got it done thru an agent

should I appeal - for reconsideration ?
Appeal for what? You show a zero balance in your bank accounts and that is a big issue for IRCC. If you feel that there is an error in law then go for reconsideration but there are no timelines. Easier and faster to reapply addressing the funds issue. The second reason is general and because you have no family in Canada (unless you have kids under 22) then that is another issue.

my daughter studies in university of waterloo - on student visa and she is 20 yrs old . is that a plus point for visa application ? that i will get to meet her ?

Ah…you never mentioned that. You just said visiting sister. So you have no ties to India? If so that is another issue if your daughter is in Canada. Not a plus at all.
