Hi,
I had applied twice for TRV when I was in Doha but application was refused by quoting Ties to your current country of residence. I am planning to apply with my family from my native place. I need your advise how to succeed to get visa.
My proposed stay for 10 days only.

Hi,

One advice:
Please do not apply repeatedly unless your personal/professional circumstances change.... or you can apply again if you did not present your situation properly for your first two TRV applications.

Can you please share a list of the documents you submitted + your immigration status in Qatar + your ties to both Qatar and your home country (family/employment or business/property ownership/financial situation/previous travel history) + purpose of your visit to Canada

Also, what do your family members do?

Cheers

Hi,

Thanks for your reply..

I had submitted NOC from my employer, Payslip for last three months, work permit of qatar which shows valid work visa, employment contract, return ticket bookings, travel insurance.

FYI my family had joined me couple of time in doha for visiting purpose. I would like to plan for tourism. My wife is a house wife.

Please advise...

Hi,

You have only shown employment ties to Qatar.

You must submit evidence of stronger ties to Qatar (your country of residence) and your home country..... such as property or land ownership/lease agreement/family (especially dependent family members)/good financial situation, proofs to return home for other personal/professional reasons, etc

What ties will you show to Qatar + to your home country?
Have you traveled to countries like the US, the UK, Schengen countries, etc
Do you have a host who is inviting you to Canada?

Instead of saying *visit for tourism*, you must prepare a day-by-day itinerary of places you will visit/activities, etc with expense estimates.... and prove you have the finances (without borrowing money from anyone) for this

Cheers

Hello

I had noted your valuable points to be consider very smartly re-apply with my family.
I had lived in Saudi, Qatar for work purpose - 10 years.
I don't have any relatives/friends in Canada. nor I travel to US, UK Schengen countries..

Now I will prepare an detail itinerary stated places to visit & etc.

For property will affidavit will work? to show all my assets/properties. as per my situation shall I apply alone or with family bit confused please reply.

Hi,

Has your situation changed since you last applied for a TRV? What did you state as your purpose of visit?

To convince the visa officer to issue a TRV, you must prove you have very strong reasons to return to Qatar and/or your home country + a genuine reason to visit Canada

Here are my suggestions:
As your country of residence is Qatar, you must show stronger ties to Qatar as compared to your home country (although ties to both countries will count).

Can you show a lease or tenancy agreement for your accommodation in Qatar?
Do you have other family members who live with you in Qatar.... and are they dependent on you financially or otherwise?
Do you have to return by a particular date for work/training/family event, etc?

Why do you want to visit Canada (and not, for example, to European countries which are closer to Qatar)?

You must prepare the detailed day-by-day itinerary with expense estimates which I suggested.... you'll have to do some research, get an idea of costs for meals/travel/entry fees/hotels, etc

As you do not have a relative/friend who is inviting you:
You must show provisional hotel bookings + provisional return flight tickets (if you choose to book actual tickets then book refundable tickets.... keep in mind TRV processing time for your country) + prove you have the finances for the visit + airfare + hotel + other expenses

Do you own the property in Qatar or your home country?
An affidavit will not work.... you must submit a copy of the ownership documents (translated into English, if necessary, by a certified translator) + copies of receipt tax receipts + an assessment made by a chartered accountant for the current market value + if you have paid off the mortgage then stress on this fact because it shows a strong financial situation

Should you apply alone or with your family?
Well, do you live with any other family members apart from your wife? Do you have children?

If you bring your family along then you must show you have the finances to support yourself + each family member accompanying you

Cheers :)

Hi Bryanna,

My dad has retired earlier and hence, my mom and dad are on my visa in Dubai, UAE. My mom and dad applied for TRV to visit paternal aunt in Canada however it was refused. Reasons were Travel history, family ties in Canada, in country of residence (i.e UAE), economic situation in country of residence, evidence of returning back to UAE.

Though we had submitted invitation letter in which family ties is mentioned. I and brother submitted our salary letter and bank statements and on parent's passport it is mentioned that I'm their sponsor.

Could you please advise that what other documents should we provide in order to re-apply? Or shall I write all these points separately?

Though I had also provided the visa copy of UK that parents had visited UK earlier as well.

Many thanks.

Hi,

Can you let us know the immigration status of your parents in the UAE.

If the UAE is not their country of residence then they must prove strong ties to their home country.... such as property or land ownership, employment or business, family, good financial situation, etc

For how long did your parents intend to visit?
Is your mom employed?
Does your dad earn a pension? Any retirement benefits?
Do your parents own property in the UAE? Or have a lease agreement for their accommodation? Either in the UAE or their home country.
Can your parents show a good financial situation through income, financial investments (even if it is locked in), pension funds, shares/stocks, jewelry as investments?
Do your parents live with any other family members in the UAE? Your siblings or grandparents?
For how long did your parents visit the UK? Have they visited any other countries?

For TRVs, applicants must prove they have the finances to support their visit (even if the host will pay for all expenses eventually) + strong reasons to return to their country of residence + genuine purpose of visit

Cheers :)

Hi,

Parents are on my sponsorship as "resident of uae" and they are dependent on myself and my brother. They plan to visit for a month and return as stated in form and invitation letter. Yes we have a property in home country and have flat on rent in dubai.

I, brother and parents live together.
And parents visited uk for 3 weeks and no other country.

I'm planning to re-apply and thinking of writing a letter along with photocopy of rejection letter and answering their queries...what would u suggest?

Many thanks.

Hi,

Your parents must prove they will return to the UAE. You can write a Covering Letter for each refusal reason. Evidence for this is important.

Family Ties evidence:
Your parents and you/your brother live together in the UAE + your parents are dependent on you/your brother

Financial:
2-3 years ITRs for your parents + 6 months bank statements (any large deposits must be explained with proofs)

List all financial investments, pension, income from sources, etc owned by your parents. Also, their credit cards (with credit limits) + 2-3 months credit card statements if the dues are low. Prepare a table + evidence.

You can submit a letter of financial support (an affidavit that says you will pay for their airfare and expenses for the visit).

You can either transfer an X amount of money to their bank account or buy Forex cards in their name topped up with CAD for their visit.

Do NOT forget to submit an explanation that you have purchased the Forex cards/you have transferred the money to their bank account.... also submit your/their bank statements to prove this (highlight these Forex purchases/bank transfers).

Prepare a day-by-day itinerary listing tourist places, activities, etc when they visit Canada + expense estimates..... and prove they have their own finances to cover this visit without depending on your paternal aunt. Keep the visit to 2-3 weeks.

Invitation letter from your paternal aunt stating she will provide accommodation + take care of their travel/living expenses.

Other Ties:
Property in their home country: Property ownership documents (translated into English by a certified translator) + assessment by a CA for current market valuation + property tax receipts + if they earn a rental income then proofs of this

Dubai Flat: Lease agreement copy + proofs of rent payments + proofs of bank transfers for this

Travel: In the Covering Letter, you can give the visa details + entry/exit dates/purpose of visit for their UK visit + scan their UK visa and submit as evidence

Other points:
Can they show a *must return to the UAE date* with evidence..... such as a family event?

Overseas travel medical insurance policy: It's not mandatory but a good idea to buy this refundable policy for the exact dates of their visit + submit a copy with the TRV application.... and state this in the Covering Letter

Refundable round trip flight tickets: Again, it is not mandatory but it shows they have every intention to leave Canada. Do keep in mind TRV processing time for the flight dates

Any other responsibilities/commitments in the UAE/home country? List these with evidence

Cheers :)

Hi,

How has your personal/professional circumstances changed from the time you got your first refusal? If it has not changed then you may want to wait for a few months before you reapply.

The visa officer may question why you are visiting alone, during Christmas, for sightseeing without your wife and child.... especially as you don't have relatives/friends in Canada. Please think about this point.

I think you've missed some suggestions in my first post on this thread.

Regarding your documents:
1. My business partnership deed
Also include proofs that your business is actively trading.... business and tax registration documents + proofs of your responsibilities + audit statement by a chartered accountant + tax payment receipts + business bank statements + purchase orders/works contracts/customer list, etc

Proofs that your business partner cannot manage your responsibilities. Hence, you must return

2. Letter from my busniess partner
What will the letter say?

3. Details Itinerary stated place of visit
With expense estimates for every aspect of your visit.... meals/activities/sightseeing/travel/hotel bookings/airfare, etc

6. Property assesment done by CA.
Please see my first post in this thread

8. Qatar bank a/c statement for last 6 months
Do check if you must submit 6 months or 12 months bank statements for your home country + no large, last-minute deposits/no money should be borrowed

Other documents:
Lease agreement for accommodation in Qatar
Proofs of family ties (your mom lives with you and is dependent on you)
Any property or land ownership in Qatar or your home country?
A *must return by date* event/responsibility with proofs

Cheers :)
