what are the chances of getting study visa when you have 2 visitor visa's refusals?
Profile: B.Tech. Mechanical 73% with distinction. 3.5 years of work experience in related field. planing for masters degree in a related field in a Canadian university, academics ielts 6.5 (listening 6.5, reading 7, writing 6.5, speaking 5.5), general ielts 7 (listening 7, reading 8.5, writing 6, speaking 6.5).

Do these visitor visa refusals have any effect on study visa?

Kindly suggest.
Thnks

Stop thinking about visitor visa refusal.
Just apply for Study permit with all necessary documents, and you will be fine.

Last year, my friend got study permit after visitor visa rejection.

And you will need to give academic Ielts again. As i don't think that University will accept 5.5 in Speaking [Please double check it. ]

Good Luck.

got refused a visitor visa twice, too. reason is country ties. what's yours?

No matter which temporary visa you wish to apply for, make sure your ties to home country are STRONG. Read through all the other refusal posts and learn from them. Good luck.

Can I include in my SOP/Cover Letter an explanation of my country ties and assurance of going back? I have a job, property and business in my home country but I'm single and my parents/sibling are already 1 year PRs in Canada so I'm not really sure how things will work out in my favor...

1. You can prove strong home ties based on;

a. good academic history/marks/grades,
b. a relevant and best course selection,
c. First year tuition + CAD 10,000

You do not need anything else. 'a' and 'b' are the top reasons for visa refusal.

Thnks aman, the requirement of the uni I am looking for is 6.5 overall, I have not applied yet as result came yesterday only nd m jst waitin for trf. If uni give admission will this score of speaking 5.5 affect to visa?

What if I apply to some college what are the visa possibilities?

oh, okay. thanks for that info.
My undergrad is A-, IELTS is 8.5, and I believe my selected course is relevant. I hope I get the Study Permit this time.

hi JainaFel

the reason for refusal was same strong ties up with home country, and also purpose of visit not clear.

You should opt for University because you already have B.Tech degree.
1. Did you get your offer letter from University with this score ?
Because Overall score is fine. But i think every module should not be less than 6.
So check with the University requirement [ You can also check your course IELTS requirement on University website.]

Good Luck :)
