I have just been denied a Canadian visa visa based on article 179b RpRP or something. The reason is they are not satisfied with my family ties in my country of residence and that of Canada. The reality is I was travelling with my wife who is an EU citizen and included her ETA as well as our marriage certificate. I never have a family or even a friend in Canada. Our purpose of travel was solely for just tourism and for 5 days. It amaze me the reason for Refusal. What family ties can I demonstrate morethan my wife? Do you advise I should reapply immediately as I got the denial today and what more documents i need to enclose to be considered. I have a full time job with unlimited contract.

Who you are travelling with is not relevant . From which country are you applying from ? Is the country your country of citizenship or are you a temporary resident in that country ? Do you have any extensive travel history ?

I am a Permanent resident holder of Germany and applying from Germany and Ive travelled to Japan, UK,Mexico, USA, Ghana,Kenya, almost all the EU 27.

Wife is not a tie to home country since you are travelling with her.

You need to show that you have reasons to go back home afterward, job, property, business, dependants etc.

Ideally to your home/nationality country but that might be difficult in your case, so your place of residence is the next best thing.

You might also consider getting caips notes for a detailed explanation of refusal.

I provided my job letter, our house documents. What else kind of ties will they want. I own the house and all documents is in my name its not as if I rent it or something. My bank statement showed all transactions including my salary with a total balance of 45000 euros over a six month period. There is nothing in canada that will motivate me stay as an illegal.my travel history for the last 5 years shows i travel to a new country each year for tourism. Do they think a German Citizen who is gainfully employed would go an be an illegal knowing she has an ETA and can go alone without me to holiday ? Some of their decisions is very insulting. With all this documents Ive listed to them what else ties would they want?

I suspect its because you are not showing ties to home/citizenship country, Caip notes are your only option if you want to figure out the reason.
