Hello friends & Dear Experts,
I urgently seek your advise on the following issue. Recently I invited my aunt to visit Canada by November 2016. My aunt submitted her file from Bangladesh and got refused with in 17 days by Singapore VO. I provided necessary documentation as an inviter and she had applied for 5 months stay (Nov' 16 - March' 17) in Canada. In the invitation letter, we mentioned her close ties with me and my mother and explained that we want to reunite as a family for a short period and that she will be staying with us. In fact, this is the original reason. I also explained that all her expenses, including travel costs will be covered by us. I provided my eployment letter as proof. She also showed her financial status through affidavit. My aunt showed her properties & fixed deposits through notarization, which worths more than CAD 300,000. However, her savings account balance was not high - it was around CAD 3000. Besides properties, her ties to the home country showed that she has two sons there. She is retired (62 yrs) though and has 3 other sons who live in Russia. We want to reapply by solving the raised grounds as soon as possible.
The application was refused on the following grounds stating that the VO has doubts she may not leave Canada after Visa expiration and will remain there:
1. Travel History: She has no travel records in her last two passports in last 15 years. Her last visit to Russia was 16 years ago which was in a different passport and that passport is not available anymore. So not much we can do here as that old passport nor any proof exists. However, She has photos taken in Moscow, should we attach a couple of those photos as proof??will that be of any help?
2. Purpose of Visit: In her application, there was no separate Cover letter or Purpose of Visit explanation letter included. Only the invitation letter talked about her visit purpose (reuniting with sister and nephew as a family) and a copy of ticket booking was included. What can we do here now? I am planning to submit a letter with detailed purpose of visit on behalf of her. Should it be a Cover letter or Purpose of Visit Letter with detailed places and events she may visit on specific dates? or Should we submit BOTH letters with good explanation?? Will it be enough?
3. Personal Assets and Financial Status: As I mentioned earlier, she has showed properties and fixed deposits worth CAD 300,000. I dont understand why they pointed out this one. Was it because her bank balance was not high? She has some personal savings and willing to encash a couple of family savings schemes to deposit more funds in her account to make it around 10000 CAD and get a new bank statement. Will it work?
Please suggest me what to do? Your suggestions are appreciated. We are willing to reapply soon. Thanks in advance.
