Hi did you only apply for Visitor Visa for Kid or was it along with other application like Spouse open work permit?

Do we need to resubmit and if yes what is the timeline?

I have applied for visitor visa for my 3 month old son and I am in desperate need to travel by december. I am traveling for one of the reasons mentioned. Is is a good idea to submit a fresh application? Please advise

I’m so confused. My husband submitted his Visitor Visa application with ‘PHAC Authorization for the provision of care to me, his pregnant wife’ since the 12th of July. Still waiting and now with this new update, I don’t know if we should continue waiting or resubmit. Considering we just sought the assistance of our MP yesterday

My status:
I am in permanent resident in Canada and my wife is in India applied for PR. She received pre-arrival service email from Canada Government but waiting for passport request for past five months.
I want to apply for visitor visa for her now.
My question is: Can I apply on her behalf? can the application for visitor visa be "online"?
Does she still have to sign them the forms and courier to me so that I could scan them and upload online?
Do we upload digital picture online for visitor visa?
How much she has to show in her account as she doesnt work anymore?
If you awesome people could answer these questions and share the valuable links to make my initiation of visitor visa application easy, I will really really appreciate it.

Only if you travel for the reasons they mentioned. they will only process nee applications now. They have so many applications in pending. web forms will not work now. All old applications in queue. waiting waiting and waiting. even 7th September didnt bring happiness for non essential purpose applicants

Nope, but am going with “other”

Originally, THIS was the link where instructions were provided regarding filling "Other" and "COVID-19" as Purpose of Travel on the main application form. However, with the September 7 update, those instructions are no longer available online (I tried searching on the CIC site but couldn't locate it anywhere). Therefore, the logical assumption would be to choose the correct and true reason of your visit (instead of writing "COVID-19") while re-submitting the form.
