My parents have sent their single entry visitor visa applications by mail to New Delhi. The application reached on 14 Jan 2013. They have not received any response yet. Anyone else who sent application to Delhi directly (not through VFS) experiencing long wait?

Hi there,
I think you can only send the request thru VFS services or show up in person at their office or apply on line but are your parents in India or another country? Did u check on the CIC website?

Whereas I know, you should always send visitor's visa to VFS and these services have been outsourced to VFS. It usually takes 2 days to get the visa processed (they says a week to 10 days though). I applied for my in-law's visa in Chandigarh and they got it on the third morning. It would depend on location of the VFS as well. There is Canadian High Comission in Chandigarh, so it took 2 days.
