Create a webform.

Register for your Application Status Tracker account (cic.gc.ca)

Register at the link I have given. Then login and check ur progress. There is an option to create a webform. Fill it and let them know about your issue

It will depend on background and eligibility.

The most common case is a multiple entry visa until the expiry of passport.
