I applied for visitor visa on 14 April and biomatrics already done but in my application showing that (we will tell you when we start review your eligibility) is that mean my process has been started or not ?

I applied on the same day.
the information you saw is the standard one, it means your process has started, but the first step is waiting in line. it will change when some one actually processes your application.

I also applied in July 2020 same procedure also shows in this old application.

Biometric was given previously and medical passed (super visa) on April 19.
Background check is in process, but eligibility has not been started yet.

I think the process has been started. Normally, people receive the final decision shortly after their eligibility is under review.

i’ve applied on nov 28,2021 in new portal…since day one background check is in progress! usually either u get bvl n ppr together without any change in eligibility review or they update eligibility review status to in progress n u get ppr in few days…( there has been cases were it took months after eligibility review started)

but according to IRCC, the new portal was aimed to expedite the processing time for the visitor visas! I miss my family so bad

I applied visitor visa in September on New portal. I now got an email that there is a message for you. When I login I see no application submitted. Does anyone know what can I do in this situation?

My husband will withdraw his application which he applied on 16th Aug 2021, biometrics done
we will re-apply
