Congrats...I have question or you can suggest. My inlaws have same situation , reapplying as previous visa got expired.
They already have valid biometric till 2029.

9 June - File submitted ( From new portal)
21 June - Got request to pay biometric fees within 10 days otherwise application wont get processed ( We paid on same day to avoid delays)..
No update after that.

one more thing - In old portal and new portal both have different UCI ( As i know and pretty sure it stay same for a life for individual). Confused ! I already submitted webform by explaining this.

please suggest ! Thank you

in my case, they did not give biometrics during the first visa application in 2017. It was not required then. So I paid biometric fees when submitting application.

I think they did not have UCI number on their old visa. Now I see their UCI number in passport request

All new portal files are mostly handled in Ottawa although if you call IRCC they will tell it is with India. Completely misleading [ saying this from personal exp with visas on the new portal for my family]

You can raise a webform but no way to expedite. Just have to wait and count on luck.
Waiting for 30 business days to complete. Sure will raise web form. Thanks Bro

Oh wow So it didn't even say We are reviewing your eligibility ? that's crazy.. Thanks for the respond.
Yeah the new portal runs on Chinook fully for most applications. So these updates just get skipped. Some go through them too. We cannot see a pattern.

Congratulations! Was it the first time you applied or you did have a Canada visitor visa in the past?
It is the first time. I also know someone who applied for a visitor visa in February but was not approved until June. It seems how fast or long approval is random.
