Congrats! Hi, I'm new here in the forum. I have the same situation as well. Ive been waiting for 2 months and almost 2 weeks now and no reply. Hoping that I do get a passport request too.

Did you apply online/paper app?

You may want to:
1. Check if you submitted a complete application

2. Send a Case Specific Enquiry (web form) to the Manila visa office

Thanks for the immediate reply bryanna , I applied online. And I have checked that my application is completed.

Yes i already sent a Case Specific Enquiry last January 5 at the website although not specific to Manila office I think I used the web form at cic, and it says that my application is in process.

I don't have any PR application...

Still no updates ...status open. Im wondering if I have attached my documents properly...
I used Microsoft word file and made it smaller file size to fit the required MB..in short I put everything in a single page...each documents. Is that okay?

My gf's application has been pending since nov23, 2016. For 1.5months, status was "open" then last month the status changed to "Read". Seems like it got read 3times already but no new update. When we sent an email inquiry, the response was pretty generic so it wasn't helpful at all

Really? Might have been a lot of applications at that period of time. Mine was Nov 30. Still waiting, already sent another inquiry no response yet...
