Visitor Visa (from India - outside of Canada) applicants of October or November 2020

Hey guys! I applied for TRV for my mother and father in October but haven't been able to submit biometrics in India. I tried PHAC sighting my wife's pregnancy but our physician was not willing to sign it. I am now planning to send my parents to Dubai to get their Biometrics done in a week. The question is - Since their BIL is expired, would it be a problem? I do have an e-mail from CIC that states BIL will not get expired.

I'm doing the same. IRCC says there is no expiry. My parents are travelling next week.

That's good to know. I have the VFS appointment booked in Dubai and the hotels booked. Still giving a last try for PHAC before I book the flights. Can I ask if your parents needed OTB to travel to Dubai?

I am not sure what OTB is, I know they got the visa and PCR test. I'm trying for PHAC side by side too, but I heard we may need biometrics even if PHAC is approved...are you submitting the site authorization form for PHAC?

My doctor filled out PHAC form online. Took a print out. Signed it in the space and stamped it under the space. Can I scan this and make a pdf. Will this be accepted? Or Doctor has to sign it electronically?

I am a PR.
As I said, We received passport request within 24 hours. I filled the webform for 2 way courier service for passport pickup on Friday. I am hoping to hear back from them today or tomorrow.

I will let you know the timeline once I get my moms passport picked up and delivered.

Hi I have a question regarding my parents visit visa. I applied online for my parents as my Dad as the primary applicant. The date of final application was April 4th 2021. My dad got a BIL on April 5th 2021 but my mother has still not received a BIL. Will the BIL's be separate or just one under one account?

My Mother just completed her BioMetrics today from Dubai even her BIL date expired in feb 2021.
It is fine you can still get Bio Metrics from Dubai.

PHAC approval: Feb 18 Biometrics from Dubai: Mar 4
Passport Request: March 8
Passport has been sent for visa stamping. Still waiting for that. VFS in India is very slow now
Planning to bring parents by next month

My due date is in Sep and I want to apply visa for my MIL. Her passport recently got renewed so I couldnt apply her visa ahead.
Now reading everything in this forum worries me on how to start and where to start.

Thanks, @dsinghd, these are very helpful links! Technically it makes sense that she can stay up to 6 months, but I'm still a tad concerned since this was not a normal TRV that she was issued. The fact that her itinerary itself is printed on the TRV, next to expiry date, makes me a tad nervous about just ignoring it and staying for 6 months, lol.

Question. If my moms visa expires June 30 2021, can she come to Canada on June 15 2021. Applying visitor visa or visa extension from India looks like a big hassle now. If she could travel before her visa expires then I would like to apply for extension in country after she comes here.
My pregnancy due date is in September so I want to get her as late as possible before her visa expires. Can I still do that ?

OTB is Ok To Board. That may be required to enter Dubai based on where you are boarding from. Yes, that was the plan - to submit with site authorization. But doesn't look like I can get a doctor to sign PHAC. So sending them to Dubai next week. I heard that they will be asked for local number to get the covid results. I'm not sure how to go about that since they won't have access to the sim card stalls there until they complete their immigration.

Are you sure that we need Biometrics even with PHAC?

I did it online. You can login to CIC account and can apply for Visitor Visa

Wanted to provide an update on my mother and mother-in-law's applications.

My mother-in-law (Visitor Visa) got a passport request yesterday, while for my mother (Super Visa) got a request for medical today.
Here are the timelines for each:

Mother-in-Law (Visitor Visa):
Application Submitted: December 22
Biometrics Request: December 24
Biometrics Completed: February 15th (at Nepal)
Email sent to IRCC for faster processing due to applicant being immediate family member of PR: March 7th
Passport Request: March 15th

Mother (Super Visa):
Application Submitted: January 4th
Biometrics Request: January 7th
Biometrics Completed: February 15th (at Nepal)
Email sent to IRCC for faster processing due to applicant being immediate family member of PR: March 7th
Medical Request: March 16th
