Due to the lengthy processing times for PR applications (family sponsorship-spousal), do you think one should apply for a visitor's visa so that they can visit their spouse while the PR application is being processed or, is it an automatic denial due to the high risk of being an overstayer?

Spouses from non-visa exempt countries have little chance of being approved, regardless of how long the processing time is.

I would say it is worth trying... matter of few bucks !!!

it is not going to affect the PR application if it gets rejected ... and if approved---only waiting spouse can imagine the happiness of that situation... :) :D

we are also going to try once my sponsorship is approved...may be some time in next month !!! waiting for that.. ;)

Hey ,
My husband just recieved my AOR1 for the spousal visa yesterday. When can I now apply for visitor visa?? I am working at a private IT firm. What are my chances of getting a visitor visa? What documents should I attach to make my case really strong??
