Visitor Visa for Spouse - Help!

Hi Everyone,

I am a Canadian Citizen currently working full time professional Job in Canada.
I just got married to my wife whom is a Chinese citizen and I am planning to apply for the spousal sponsorship coming may. I saw on CICC website that spousal sponsorship takes about 12 months to process which is way too long to wait.
So before applying for the spousal sponsorship, I'm planning on to get her to apply for a Visitor visa where I would write an invitation to invite her to Canada for a visit and will return back to China after her visit while we wait for the spousal sponsorship to be processed.
I know that the chance of getting approved for this type of application is very low.
Has anyone attempted something similar?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi,

Unfortunately, her chances of a TRV approval (before applying for spousal PR) are almost zero. Your best bet would be to apply for spousal PR first..... and then apply for a TRV (a few months after her file is transferred)
