Marrying a visitor visa holder

Hi I am a Canadian citizen.

I was wondering if I marry a person visiting from Iran that has a visitor visa in Canada what would happen?

Could I apply for a spousal sponsorship? Would she go back to Iran to wait the immigration office decision?

You could sponsor your spouse. She doesn't need to return to Iran. You can apply inland and include an OWP app.
