Visitor Visa for Parents Jan end & Feb 2022 applications - share your timelines and stay updated

My parents applied for a visitor visa from Argentina on March 15 trough new portal, biometric done, no any news yet, has anyone a time line? Or any news about processing times, in Argentina the processing times are in 43 day today but we been waiting more than 90 days now\.

Not long...might be around a month or so of not busy

Yes they had another application since last year wich has been withdrawn so they already had biometrics done. Automatically showed biometric passed in this new application

Really … I was planning to book their ticket around July 3rd week.

Wont do that for now as it might be expensive if ever u need to change the travel date afterward. I think they will send a tracking number on its way back...then u may book your ticket

I understand but this is the current situation for many applicants. As long as u submitted all required document and raise a webform...there is not much u can do but wait..

Biometric Completed: Jan 24, 2022
Eligibility review started: Feb 04 (I know this because I got GCMS notes last month)
No update since Feb 04, nothing on the portal and nothing in the GCMS notes after Feb 04, 2022

UPDATE:
July 14, Received Biometrics Validity letter
Message "we are reviewing your eligibility" was replaced by older message "we will let you know once we start reviewing your eligibility"

NOTE:
this was the first application in Jan 2022, since then my father came to the US as a visitor and we sent a new application because it was 2 months over the normal processing time In India. We have also surpassed the normal processing times in US as well.

He has held visitor Visa before and travelled to Canada. This is a renewal.

My Dad's now mad at Justin Trudeau lol
