I am naturalized Canadian citizen. I am planning to apply a visitor visa for my mom. The DOB that she put in her passport is different to what shows in my birth certificate and immigration documents. My mom does not have birth certificate and I am not sure if she actually knows her exact age ;) and her middle name has a minor error in my birth certificate. They put “i” instead of “a”.

I am wondering if the application will be affected by this? Can I just write an affidative explain that it was an error from my side when I was applying for my birth certificate or should I try to fix my mom passport ??

Thanks

Easy solution for you, will be fixing your mum's passport if not all of your immigration documents will need the fix -- this is for date of birth.
For name -- You can attach affidavit stating both names (One with "i" and "a") is the same person or you made an error.
