Please advise how do I go about getting a visitor visa for my sister and her son who is 2 years old. She is married husband currently in Australia.
She is in a bad marriage and I want her to come over here. I have few questions:
1. What should i write in the letter to be the reason
2. How much funds I need to show?
3. What are the chances of she will get the visa.
4.Do i need to submit a separate application for my nephew
5. How does she prove her relationship as sibling with me.
please help

Right now due to Covid, your sister needs not only a visitor visa but written authorization to travel. Her son is not your extended family so is not authorized to travel until travel restrictions are lifted.

1. Invite them for a visit.
2. You don’t show funds, your sister has to show the funds. She needs to show bank account statements that prove she can afford a trip. So $1000 per week, for example.
3. Can’t say chances as she needs to show strong ties to her home country (country of citizenship) with funds, job, properties etc.
4. Yes. Does your nephew have a passport. She will need custody of the child and show she can leave the country with him.
5. PR, citizenship card, birth certificate

Would also add that you mention she is in a bad marriage, she can come to Canada to visit but she can’tjust remain in Canada indefinitely, her child doesn’t qualify to attend school, etc. So she needs a plan if she is planning on getting divorced.
