Hello,

Im planning to apply for a TRV for my mom who is a Russian citizen. I lived in Canada for over 10 years now and have my Canadian citizenship. I recently got engaged and would like for my mom to come visit future in-laws, and also to attend the wedding. I've read the thread but still have a few questions.

1. Is there any difference between the new IIRC portal and the old one? I just see with the new one you can not use a representative but is there any other benefits?
2. The application requires proof of funds, - whose funds? mine or moms? If mine, my credit cards are all maxxed so could I just provide my t4s? or pay stubs? If hers, could I also just get her works paper of employment? We aren't rich but I can afford to support her for 2 weeks while she is here. (I am a server and making cash)
3. When inviting, it is better for me to invite her solo or should I include my fiancee? He has a better job so would including his income info help at all?
4. Would they approve the application if I don't have 10K in my bank statement?
5. She doest speak very good English, so ill be the one filling out the application for her, - do I need to use "use of the representative" form or can I just pretend to be her and fill it out? What's really the difference?
6. She is divorced and my dad won't be going with her, - does that reduce her chances? Would it help to include her property ownership document or I shouldn't bother?
7. Do all of the documents have to be notarized or can I just go to a translation agency? (for my birth certificate for example)

She just needs to come here for 2 weeks next summer and 2 weeks in 2026 for our wedding.

I really don't want her visa to get refused for some reason and wanna make sure my application is perfect. ANY help or advice would be appreciated, thank you!!
