visitor visa for my parents

Hi I became PR in July 2013. Now I want to apply for visitor visa for my parents. Should I hire a consultant for this process as my parents are very old and they would not be able to go through all the form filling process by themselves. I am very confused about this. Or can I apply from here in Canada.

Also I want to know that all the visitor visa applicants has to go through the medical examination. If yes, what exactly do they look for in medical examination.

It would be a great help if anyone can share any website link that has all the information about how to apply for visitor visa.

No, they wont ask for medical test usually. Just go to cic website you will get all infoor type "canada visitor visa apply online" in google

No need to hire a consultant if they go to the vac office they help to fill out the forms.

Thank you do much.I have written in the invitation letter that they will stay with us from November to April.They are filing their visa on the 12th of November from Delhi .Since I have mentioned they will stay with us from November to April and they are applying for the visa in April will it create any problems. Also I forgot to mention their health insurance will be paid by us in the letter.Will this create problems.
