Hi all,
This might be a very stupid question to ask but just wanted to know if I can sponsor my mother-in-law to visit Canada? (I am her daughter-in-law and should i consider myself a family member (blood relation)? )

If yea then what should I select under the following question:
How are you related to your Family Member?
- Child/grandchild
- Other

*there are more options but they dont apply to me in this case.*

Hi,

You cannot *sponsor* your mother-in-law to visit. You can only *invite* her to visit.

Yes, you are related to her by law.

You can select 'Child/grandchild'. Do note that the 'Come to Canada' tool is only a reference guide and it is not the actual application form or Family Information form.

Either you OR you and your husband together can invite her. You must include a copy of your marriage certificate

Cheers
