Hi,
I got an offer letter with an annual pay of CAD 45,000 to work as a scientific researcher in Quebec. I am single and do not have any dependants. I am going to apply for a first work permit online from India.
I wanted my mom also to travel along with me on a visitor visa (hoping that she can get a TRV for 6 months). After reading the threads in this forum I am getting anxious whether my mom would be able to get a TRV. I've few questions about this and any advice would be of immense help.
Her situation: She is widowed, aged 66, retired employee, gets pension equivalent to ~ CAD 700 every month, owns property equivalent to ~ CAD 130000 on her name, owns fixed deposits in bank equivalent to CAD 25000. Her other son (my brother) lives in Denmark with his wife and 2 year-old kid. Earlier she traveled twice to Denmark for 3 months each time and returned at the end of 3-month time period.
My main question: How can we prove strong ties to home country? One thing that comes to my mind is my brother's graduation in Denmark around September-October 2016, but that is in Denmark and my brother does not know exact time frame of graduation.
Other questions: Without getting my first wok permit yet, can I still give an invitation letter to her (enclosing my offer letter and stating my work permit application reference number)? Or should we wait applying her visitor visa till I get my work permit?
The property valuation that I mentioned above is based on our knowledge of the current market value. I've seen in this forum about some CA valuation. This is my first work permit and I have never lived in Canada. What is the right way to get this property valuation done in India?
Thanks a lot in advance,
thomas
