Hello, My PR will be expired next week. Currently I live in US, however, my job required me to travel to Canada. I can not renew my PR as I don't meed requirements of number of days and currently I am out side Canada. Can I apply for visitors visa to visit Canada ? I don't have green card, currently on work visa. What are my options to visit Canada with expired PR.

You are still a PR and can't get a TRV. You would need to first renounce your PR status.

The other option is to enter at a land border. You will likely be reported for failing to meet the RO, resulting in the eventual revocation of your PR status.

Thanks. That's complicated than I though. Isn't there any other way to enter in Canada for quick business visits ? I am not sure what could be consequence of renouncing PR. Have any one done this ? how long this might take ? is it relatively simple process ?

No, there is no other option for you to enter. You don't qualify for a new PR card, PRTD or TRV.

The consequence of renouncment is the loss of your PR status. The process can take weeks or months. It is a fairly simple process. https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5781ETOC.asp
