Visitor visa for 10 years

Hi guys,


I have got visitor visa for 10 years.I know i can stay in Canada for 6 months continuously.I want to know any way to stay longer than 6 months.

Actually how long you can stay is decided by a border officer (not you). You can apply to extend your stay if you want.

and how long did it take to give u decision. Please share ur timeline and place of application.

Thanks a lot for replying.But i am little confused.I want to know when will i come to know the timeline for which i will be allowed to stay in canada?At the airport? Secondly is it necessary to get 2 way ticket on visitor visa?
