If you submitted the Open Work Permit app along with your inland PR app, then you have implied status during entire processing time so don't need to waste money extending any visitor status.

Hi,

We also need to submit visitor visa extension request. would it be possible to send the link?
I could only find generic options.
Does it link up with submitted application to CIC?
thanks,
Sipadan

Is this the link?
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend-stay.asp
It looks like a proof of means of financial support and proof of medical exam are required.
these were forwarded with permanent residency application.
They need to be sent again?
We are outland PR application not that visitor visa extension should matter.
Thanks,
Sipadan

Yes, that is the link.

The visitor extension is entirely separate from the PR app, so yes, you must send the proofs again.

I called a panel doctor and the office staff said if a medical examination was done in the last year it would not be required again.
The doctor's staff went into the CIC computer and pulled out my U tracking number from the already submitted medical exam for permanent residency.
I added the U tracking number to the receipts provided when the check up was done.
Saved a couple hundred dollars.
should be good.
cheers,
