I am providing pay stubs over the past two months as proof of my income, should I also include a copy of our joint bank account or are the pay stubs enough?

The pay stubs should be good, I think. The last time I applied, I sent a record of employment and a letter saying I would continue to support my partner. The gave a little over a year and it came incredibly fast even though we applied by mail.

I would include the bank statement. From what I've seen, the financial support seems to be one of the biggest factors, so anything you can offer to show that your SO will be covered financially for the duration of the requested extension is good. I just had my own most recent bank statement, a copy of my Canadian's last tax doc, and a letter from his employer (I goofed and sent the copy instead of the original, but they didn't seem to mind). Asked for one year and was granted two.

Also, just a heads-up: for visitor extensions, CIC seems to be getting through the paper apps much faster, while the electronic ones are falling behind. According to the website, it's currently 24 days by mail vs. 55 days online, and the gap has been expanding pretty steadily for at least the last month. When I applied in late June, I did it by mail thinking I'd have more implied status that way, but my shiny new visitor record arrived after about 3 weeks, which was even a week faster than the website was predicting at the time.
