Visitor visa extension and leaving the country

Hello,

My mother's visitor visa (multiple entry for 5 years) was extended for 2 years more (after the six months) from within Canada. I want to know if she leaves now and comes back after two months will the 2 year extension remain valid or does it get replaced by the port entry visa again? Please help. Thank you.

Is your mom going to visit the US? Otherwise your mom's visitor status will lapse when she leaves Canada.

She will be assessed for a new 6 months stay (on her valid TRV) by the immigration officer at the POE when she re-enters after 2 months

Thank you Bryanna for the response. She is going back home to Bangladesh. I was afraid that leaving the country would nullify her extension. Good thing she has a multiple entry.
