You applied for him from Canada? Isn't it calculated as from inside Canada which less than a month? Mine is tourist, don't know if it will have same timeline or less prioritized? Jan 26 2023. Eligibility not started. 112 days and counting

Because he's in Nigeria, it's processed as "outside Canada". I believe it's same timeline but it all depends on the processing visa.

hiya, I applied January 26th 2023, did biometrics 1st Feb 2023, eligibility hasn't started on gckeys after 112 days. Applied from Lagos, Nigeria. Last update on tracker April 19th, Biometrics green, eligibility not started.
Any Nigerian 2023 applicants here? or similar threads they might be on. Thanks for your reply.

your application is fresh outta the box. Jan. 2023 until now isn't a long wait friend considering that the processing period has changed into 700+ days and you have Eligibility not started yet? go see what the tracker has on your application status, it might say different.
edit: in my opinion, you should make a new thread post for peoples under Jan 2023 timeline.

yes it is IF you already have BVL

Last update was on 1st may where visa doc was updated, do you have your visa doc showing already?

I have same scenario- applied for parents Super Visa- Last update on April 19th was EVRYTHING shows as COMPLETED BUT BACKGROUND still in PROGRESS (as of April 19th)- nothing updated on Tracker as of yesterday's update! @DRIS mertin

Update 19/04 : bio and eligibility completed except bcg in progress
Update 01/05 : no change in the tracker but the 02/05 i received a ghost update on the portal : we are reviewing the additional doc you provided
Update 19/05 : nothing on tracker and nothing on portal

So with May 18th update there was no new info on your app as well! Seems like they are doing Background check since last month. My father is in Police , I think that’s the reason it is taking longer for background check
