It is really crazy. We have sent numerous emails and their reply is always they are processing it and they operate based on application priority. Which visa office is treating your application? How come your spouse’s eligibility hasn’t started? Did you raise a webform?
I found out the visa office through my email exchanges. After submitting the webform, I believe it is then directed to the Visa office processing such application.Tbh, I have no idea which office is treating mine. How can I find out? My eligibility also changed this month. You should try raising another webform and make it known to them that it has passed normal processing times with a screenshot of when she submitted her application.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/contact-ircc/web-form.htmlCan you paste the link you used in raising this webform? Let me know if they’re the same thing.
Since January is a whole lot of time without the eligibility being reviewed at all.
Are you trying to visit family in Canada? When does your WP expire in Ireland? What kind of job do you have in an Ireland? Do you work in the tech industry in a professional capacity for example?I am Brazilian but have an work visa in Ireland, does this have any influence in the process?
The fact that you live in a 3rd country on a temporary status can have an impact on the outcome of a TRV but so can many things. Can you give more details about it?
Have you started the sponsorship process? It can be quite difficult for a spouse of a Canadian citizen or PR to get a TRV because most aren’t genuine visitors and want to remain in Canada. Are you currently living in Canada?Pls let us know when you get an update. My spouse visitor visa is more than a year old now. We submitted Jan 2022 and they have not even started eligibility
Seems like we are in the same boat. We are yet to receive any update on my spouse's visitor visa as well. Applied April 2022, Background check passed since May 2022 and since then no update. Contacted my MP, sent several emails and webforms, requested for GCMS note and still nothing. The visa office is Nairobi and they are yet to start the eligibility review as well. It's extremely crazy to think about that it would take any sane country 1 year or more to process a visitor visa.I found out the visa office through my email exchanges. After submitting the webform, I believe it is then directed to the Visa office processing such application.
So fortunately for us, the visa office replied directly to us using their email and stated their address.
We have raised a ticket stating all these. They replied us stating “ This is expected due to the volume of applications we receive and Covid is also another factor “.
So pathetic..

So did you apply for spousal sponsorship over a year ago as that would have been your first step. You may have gotten sponsorship approved faster. If refused and you haven’t then start spousal sponsorship. Chances of TRV if you are PR are very low because spouse has to prove ties to return, and not coming to live in Canada.
