Hi everyone,

I applied for a visitor visa on 28th August to meet my husband who is studying in Canada and till date there is no update on my application. What shall I do ? I am so worried. Has anyone faced similar situations ?

1. You could try linking your paper application to your online account to know the processing status.

2. You can send an IRCC web form to your local visa office to request for an early decision

Hi my paper application is already linked to my account. I am so worried if my visa gets rejected. When I applied the wait time was 37 days and then it became 44 days later. So will the calculate 44 days for my application or 37 days ? Also 44 days has passed too. Does sending IRCC web form helps ?

i applied also on the same date and my processing time was 17days and i havent receive any update as yet i sent web form they say

"Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information provided and can confirm that your application is still in process.

that was 2 weeks ago and i am still waiting

It could take up to 30 days to get a specific reply from the visa office to your web form. Or else, by sending the web form, your application may get moved to the front of the processing queue and you could get a decision soon

but that's crazy because even after i apply i know persons apply and got a decision within days and those person didn't even provide any ties to there country no bank statement no job letter jus a letter on intent and an invitation and they receive visa with 3 days of submitting

Yes it is really frustrating. Did you apply on the same date as mine (28th August )? Which Vfs was it .Are you going on a visitor visa to meet someone or for a holiday ? I am so worried and frustrated as I am not being able to meet my husband. Its a matter of luck I believe as some people really get it soon and some people take ages to get it.
