Visitor Visa Delay in processing from delhi

Hi, I want to know about my visitor visa status from you guyz. I got sponsership from my cousin brother who has canadian citizenship. He has sent me invitation for attending marriage in canada which is on 13th October 2019. I have applied thru online from Delhi VFS.

Application Submiited = 20 Aug 2019
Biometric Submitted = 23 Aug 2019

Wife Passport was not uploaded so received 27th Aug email and on system showing "You have told us that additional people will come to canada with you. Please, attach their documents below.
So, I had uploaded her passport on 29th Aug 2019.
So, from 27th Aug status showing action in required in my wife application till today 12 sept 2019 and on my application its showing submitted.

Till Now no update...Today is 12th september.. can anyone please tell me the status if knows....reason of delay and what would be the result and when it will come ?

Acknowledgement letter from delhi visa office on 29th august
After that there is no update
Still reviewing eligibility and background check
I think there is delay in most of application process. So hoping for best now.

Submitted biometrics in punjab local visa office

That means your file is also running delay after biometric ? and till today no update .....

can you tell me when you check your status online what it shows to you ?

Well, I am asking bcoz I checked today and still no update and file is running delay so, seems you are also on same page like me.... but why its getting delay when the visitor processing time is 12 days only...on mine case today is 20 day but till now no update.....

Reviewing eligibility and background check is under process.
Its almost going to a month since i have submitted my file.
I heard from another applicants most of applications are delay and reason only immigration know. There is nothing in our hands at the moment. We can only wait.

I can understand but my Flight and travel journey date is starting from 7th October and return 21 October...My wife also applied a holiday and receive a NOC for these dates So, do you think that I will get a result before my travelling date ?

I have sent a enquiry to web form regarding delaying my file. Now let see when they will response or reply.
