Hi guys,

Does anyone know whether we can track our application or is there a call center that helps in application tracking process?

I live in Australia and submitted my and my wife's visitor visa application via registered post.
After this, we have not received any acknowledgement about the application or anything as to what is the status of the application.

Does anyone know a way by which I can follow up my application status.

I found the following information from the CIC website. Speaking to them, they do not answer any queries and pointed me back to the website.

Telephone/ Facsimile Numbers: Mission Tel.: (61-2) 9364-3000
Immigration Tel.: (61-2) 9364-3050
Mission Fax: (61-2) 9364-3098
Immigration Fax: (61-2) 9364-3099

Regards,

You can send a case specific email AFTER the application has passed the posted processing times of 14 days (depending on your citizenship there could be an additional 10 day delay) The email address is here: https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=sydney

Thanks PPM,

Just sharing my personal experience for people who are in the same situaton as I was.
Emails are great, but the amount of delay and the factor of unknown adds a lot of frustration.

This might not apply to your consulate so don't go by my words, check your consulate first.

I emailed Sydney General Consulate and advised them if it will take long, I would miss out on my training and orientation in Canada and proposed whether I can come to their office and if they can process my application on the same day.
They emailed me back that it might be possible.

I took a chance.
Took a flight to Sydney yesterday night went to the consulate first thing in the morning 9:00 AM showed them the email about 1 day visa processing. They asked due to the documentation I have provided for me and my partner, they needed around 2 and a half hours to verify the documents etc. Went back to their office at 11:15.

11:30 AM receptionist gave us our passports back with visitor visa acceptance.

Regards,
