Hello,

I have a few queries about the visitor visa for Canada. I'm currently an undergraduate student in Ireland where I've been living for 10 years with my family. I will be graduating from university in September 2014 and I along with a number of friends from Ireland (all Irish) plan on visiting Canada for a number of months after graduation. I believe Irish citizens don't need visitor visas but as I only have a Romanian passport I will need a Visa upon entry in Canada.

I was wondering if I'd be able to apply for a visitor visa through the Canadian consulate in Ireland or if I could apply for a visa online? Is this possible? I wouldn't have the time to travel to Romania and apply there as I am still a full time student.

Thank you.

you could apply online which would be the fastest way.

orelse you could also apply at the Canadian consulate in ireland

There isn't a consulate in Ireland that deals with visas, it has to go to London. The OP should apply on line.

For proof of financial support what documents should I provide? I'm a full time student but I work during certain weekends at a hotel as a casual position and during the summers I work as a lifeguard on the beach. The money I will be earning the coming summer is what I plan on using for my travels in Canada. How can I provide proof of that if I plan on applying now? Or would I be considered dependent on my parents as I'm still a full time student?

Sorry for all the questions and thanks again!
