I am going to apply for my mother super visa online:
I have few questions:
1.when apply online,paying the fee online through credit card after submitting the application there will be a reference code that my mother has to take with her to the visa center (in Pakistan) to drop passport and for bio-metric ,Now my question is will visa office there in Pakistan will also ask for all the documents which i already scanned and submitted? or there job is to take the passport and bio-metric.
2.I was reading in this forum that some visa centers in paksitan will ask you for visa fee over there even if you have pay online (i doubt this though)
3.How long it takes to process the whole thing (from submitting application to getting visa) in Pakistan.

Hi,

1. Their job is to do biometrics formalities, they will not ask for any documents you uploaded electronically.
2. They should and must not ask for any additional fee, if you have paid and have valid receipt of payment.

I applied for visitor visa on behalf of my parents on Feb 18, 2015 and got Original Passport request on Feb 19, 2015..

I was bit nervous as we (me and my brother) were already in Canada, meaning no one was left in our family back home.

But it was real quick..

Once again CIC proved that if one provide them with appropriate/clear documents, visa is not a hard nut to crack.

Yes Certainly.. Supply as many documents you can include which show strong home ties to the Home country.

Guys, can anyone help me.... my concern is, I got a wrong answer to question no. 9 in the Application Form IMM5257. I misunderstood the question thinking that it is where the country I am applying to. So instead of clicking Yes, I checked no and placed Canada as the country. I just realized I got the wrong answer when I was going through again with the forms and the guide. My bad! Is there any way I can change and upload another file for that? BTW, i did the online application for visit visa last feb 26. Does anyone of you know CIC's email address that I should I contact regarding this? Hope somebody can help me on this.

I applied one for my parents and when I check in my cic account,it says original passport submission request and upon clicking the message details,it open a PDF which is very generic and is not containing any name,application number

Is there any benefit of applying for a super-visa other than the fact that they get to stay for 2 years at a stretch???

Hi... i am planning to apply for my dad visitor visa from India. Me and my wife live in Canada- my wife is citizen and I have PR. I have few confusions in application process and related to documents:

1. What is VFS? is it compulsory to apply through that?
2. Do I also need to submit my wife's bank and employment details even though I am sponsoring their visit?
3. My parents have visited US last year on tourist visa to see my sister. they have 10 year US visitor visa. Is it of any benefit in getting Canada visitor visa?
4. i am still confused if Indians need to go for biometric or not?
5. My parents do not have intention to stay more than 2 weeks (my father has business back at home country), can they still apply for super visa instead of normal visitor visa?

It will be great help if you can guide.

It is not compulsory to apply through VFS..... your parents can apply online, if they prefer

You cannot sponsor someone for a visit visa..... you can only host/invite them.... you can submit your documents for your parents' visa applications if your financials, etc are adequate

If your parents have valid US visas then they can apply under the Can+ category.... the application form is the same.... they must tell the VFS officials that they are submitting the TRV applications under Can+.... Benefits are expedited processing and fewer documents to be submitted

No biometric tests

If your parents have very strong ties to India + as you have PR..... then they will most likely get multiple-entry TRVs until the full validity of their passports

For TRVs, the applicants documents are scrutinized more as compared to the hosts' documents. It is the converse for Super visas

Yes, most probably your parents would be getting Visa till the validity of their passport.

If your parents wanna stay for more than 6 months then it would be a wise option for super visa, else gor for TRV..
